6-Week Summer Conditioning Program
This six week program is designed to improve each athlete’s strength, speed, agility, flexibility, conditioning, and power. The main focus of this conditioning camp is injury prevention!! By becoming more aware of the body and moving correctly, we can decrease injury rate during tryouts and in-season. By achieving these goals, each athlete will improve his/her overall self-confidence and become a better athlete. Acceleration will be taught to athletes but Deceleration is neglected, I want to teach the athletes the ability to slow down correctly so they can change direction quicker than before and more safely. If I can teach the athletes to decelerate quickly, then they will be able to stop, change direction and accelerate without losing speed. Conditioning is key for injury prevention, as well as getting them ready for the season to come.
